Hurricane Danny is gracing us with his near presence and a whole lot of rain. I’m glad for the rainy day because we had guests and I would have felt a little anxious all day that I was missing an opportunity to make some headway in the garden. Thanks to Danny, it wasn’t a day for the garden, so its not a day lost, and I could enjoy our guests (even though their kids terrorized our poor cats).
Now we are home, there is a little daylight left, though its still wet out, and we are cozying up to our computers to catch up on a day and a half of missed web browsing and email. Ah bliss.
I’m currently on the fence about buying this new collection of the work of The New Lost City Ramblers, which would be my second bluegrass purchase of late. The other is by the Seldom Scene, a band that I used to hear my Mom play back when I was about 10.
